Welcome to Soul Life Lessons

about me

I’m Heather, a writer based in Denver, Colorado, and the soul behind this space. I created Soul Life Lessons to share my journey through the inner world—one guided by nature, Spirit Animal symbolism, and intuitive healing. For me, this isn’t just a spiritual path—it’s a soul journey.

Along the way, I’ve come to believe that we each arrive on Earth with Soul Life Lessons to learn. Even if we try to avoid them, the Universe gently (or sometimes not-so-gently) nudges us awake—through experiences like illness, heartbreak, or loss.  For me, it began with a serious physical illness that forced me to slow down and reevaluate everything. That difficult chapter became a powerful turning point—one I now hold with deep gratitude.

As I explored healing, I was drawn to energy work, childhood development, and the emotional roots of physical pain. I found powerful tools like Inner Work Practices, Inner Child Work, Shadow and Archetype exploration, and Chakra energy healing. These practices reminded me: healing isn’t just possible—it’s something we can learn to guide ourselves through.

We’re never truly alone on this path. Spirit Animal symbolism and the quiet wisdom of nature walk beside us, showing up in unexpected ways—on a billboard, in a dream, in a song, or in the sudden appearance of a particular creature. When we begin to notice these signs, we realize they’ve been speaking to us all along.

Understanding their symbolism can bring clarity, hope, and insight. Whether you’re knee-deep in your own inner work or just beginning to ask questions, animals can offer daily inspiration and encouragement. They remind us of the strength, confidence, and magic already within.

This journey often brings us back to childhood—to the root of what hurts. And while that can be uncomfortable or even painful, having symbolic guides by our side helps us move through it with compassion and courage. Once we meet those old wounds with awareness, we free ourselves to begin the healing process in earnest.

The writings you’ll find here—blog posts, personal reflections, and curated Inner Work practices—were born from my own experiences. My hope is that by sharing them, we can learn together. When we support each other in this way, we don’t just heal—we evolve. And from that space of wholeness, we’re better able to walk the world with purpose, connected and transformed.
